THE FIFTH SCAM OF THE SEASON

When your holiday becomes a headline

Posting “I’m off to St. Moritz for two weeks” can sound harmless, but it signals your absence to anyone watching. Criminals can use that information for physical theft or targeted phishing when you’re away.

25% of U.S. citizens surveyed have had a package stolen from outside their doors during the holidays. In addition, the FBI home burglary data reported that December and January saw the highest rates of burglary throughout 2023.
